Words for Loss of Pet

This page will give you some ideas of what to write when you need to find the right words on the loss of a pet.

When friends or family lose a beloved pet, they can grieve just as much as losing a close human relation. Just letting someone know that you understand that they are grieving can be a huge comfort for them.

We include sample sympathy notes for pet loss whatever the type of animal. Scroll down for messages for the loss of a dog, cat, rabbit or horse.  Of course you can adapt them for any other type of pet too.

You’ll see some photographic cards with quotes on this page too.  These are a few of our own range of pet sympathy cards. Sales of these provide us with a small commission which allow us to continue helping people with grief through this website.
