One last time

PeachRoses

I just want one more last time.
One more last touch,
I just want to feel your love.
ONE more last time, I want to feel your face, your hands on my heart, one more last time,
I just want you to hold me.
You were slowly dying in my arms.
I made the choice to let go,
I let my angel fly, fly baby fly.
Everyday my heart breaks,
I want to climb up and bring you back,
but you are back where you belong.
I just want one more last kiss.
I love you my little bird!

A beautiful poem
by: Lesley

Your daughter remembered through your words
by: Anonymous

As the father of a 14 year old, your poem grabbed hold of me and would not let me move forward without commenting. It brought tears to my eyes and an ache in my heart as I contemplated the fact that I would react and feel much like you if my daughter were to pass. As a hospice chaplain, I have read, and saved, many poems of grief, but I have to say yours moved me like no other. Thank you for sharing and know your daughter's memory will live on in your poem. I am eternally sorry for your loss, and wish with you that you could have just one more kiss. Don't know if you're a believer, but as a Believer I believe you will get that one more kiss when you join her in heaven.

On the Wings of a Dove by Julia Gaunt

by Julia Gaunt
(Asheville, NC)

On the wings of a dove His spirit takes flight
Rising over and above, it is an amazing sight
We may weep and we may smile
Our hearts fill with love
Imagine his spirit to fly
Wind catching beneath his wings
Flying higher and higher into the heavens and the sky
It is now both with peace and with love
We may offer our “good bye”
On the wings of a dove.
